Many know exactly how they think they should act when they are ‘in’ authority but have little respect for the chain of command. As Sir John Dalberg-Acton once said, “Absolute power corrupts absolutely.” It’s generally not taught in high schools, not even mentioned in most colleges, but once in the real world it is evident not many know how to handle ‘authority’.
